PLANT MANAGER (M/F)

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations for France, and as a member of the Executive Committee, our future Plant Manager will be responsible for implementing the strategy for Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, HSE, and Continuous Improvement, in line with the company’s industrial strategy.

The tasks are as follows:

  • Help develop the site’s industrial strategy in consultation with management, propose key areas for performance improvement, and develop and manage budgets.
  • Ensure that company policy is implemented and followed.
  • Lead the initiative to improve productivity and machine availability.
  • Propose investment options related to production equipment.
  • Monitor changes in performance indicators and identify drivers of profitability (safety, quality, production capacity, resource optimization).
  • Manage human resources (skills, versatility) to meet industrial capacity needs by planning ahead for rolling 1-month, 3-month, and 12-month time frames.
  • Manage labor-management relations at the site (the Social and Economic Committee and other potential committees) in my capacity as chair of these bodies.
  • Foster day-to-day relationships with the various departments.
  • Guide and ensure ongoing monitoring of technological developments in the market; establish and facilitate focus groups and/or internal company tools to foster the emergence of new ideas.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the company’s technology partners: academic and industrial partners—both public and/or private—etc.
  • Lead the safety and environmental initiatives at the site.
  • Ensure that the entire site and all processes comply with regulations and that all guidelines are properly implemented.
  • Ensure the coordination of product quality efforts to guarantee compliance with customer quality requirements while controlling the costs of nonconformity.

PROFILE

  • A 5-year post-high-school degree from an engineering school with a specialization in “mechanical engineering” or “metals”
  • Significant experience in similar roles, ideally gained in an industrial setting
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of team leadership and management, change management
  • Ability to implement continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams,
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Experience in budget management
  • Ability to handle crisis situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of commitment, business acumen
