Gindre Duchavany bicentenary

In September 2023, the Gindre Group reached a historic milestone! Our company celebrated 200 years as a copper transformer. Founded in 1823 by the partnership of Charles-Marie Duchavany and Johannès Gindre, the company manufactured precious metal wires for the finishing of textile articles.

With the advent of electricity, Gindre transformed itself to supply the transmission and distribution market by producing copper bars. An essential metal for its exceptional electrical properties and infinite recyclability, Gindre has continually perfected its know-how over the following decades, adapting to technical and environmental needs. Today, this celebration ushers the Gindre group into a new era.

The era in which the circular economy and recycling are major issues. So Gindre continues its industrial transformation by investing in more sustainable facilities.

We would like to thank our customers, partners, employees and families for being part of this adventure and sharing their joy and memories. It's a testament to the strong bonds we've forged over the years.
